Nu Lakot Nu Lavwa — Citizen Engagement for ICZM
Public citizen engagement gatherings held under the Indian Ocean Commission's RECOS project, inviting residents, sea users, and local associations to help shape the pilot Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) Action Plan for Black River. The events combined expert panels, a collaborative coastal fresque, a participatory mapping "boîte à idées," and a showcase of local NGOs and coastal projects. Organised with CEDTI and Dynamia Associates & Developers Ltd, and funded by the Indian Ocean Commission through the RECOS project (co-financed by AFD and FFEM).
Lunch at Zakadi — Stanford University Visit
IOIF hosted a delegation from Stanford University for an informal lunch and exchange at Zakadi, Mauritius — sharing perspectives on island resilience, research collaboration, and community-led conservation work across the Indian Ocean.
